Privacy Policy & Your Privacy Rights

Orion Flooring (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through orionflooring.com, in our Anaheim, Hesperia, and Rialto showrooms, and through our sales and installation services; how we use it; who we share it with; and the rights you have — including specific rights under California law.

1. Information We Collect

      • Commercial information: products viewed, samples requested, quotes, orders, purchase history, returns, wishlists

      • Approximate location derived from IP address

Information from Other Sources

      • Payment processors and fraud-prevention services
      • Financing partners (application status only, as permitted)
      • Advertising and analytics platforms
      • Publicly available sources

Sensitive Personal Information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law — such as Social Security number, driver’s license number, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information, or biometric data — and we do not use or disclose it for purposes requiring a “limit the use” option.

If you apply for financing, the lender may collect identification or Social Security details directly through its own application process. That information is collected and held by the lender under its own privacy policy, not by Orion Flooring.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our site is not directed at children. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

      • Process, fulfill, deliver, and invoice your orders
      • Schedule deliveries, templating, fabrication, and installation
      • Provide customer service and handle returns, damage claims, and warranty issues
      • Send transactional messages — order confirmations, delivery notifications, appointment reminders
      • Send marketing communications where you have consented or where permitted by law
      • Personalize your experience and show relevant products
      • Measure and improve our website, showrooms, and advertising
      • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud and security incidents
      • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not use your information for purposes materially different from those listed here without notifying you first.

3. Payment Information

Depending on how you choose to pay, your payment is processed by one of our third-party payment providers: Stripe, Square, PayPal, or Authorize.net. Card details are collected and handled directly by the applicable provider under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS obligations.

Full card numbers are entered into and held by the payment provider’s systems. We may receive limited transaction information from these providers, such as the last four digits of your card, card brand, billing name and address, and whether a payment succeeded or failed.

Each provider maintains its own privacy policy:

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information with:

      • Service providers: website hosting, payment processing (Stripe, Square, PayPal, Authorize.net), email and SMS platforms, our customer relationship management and marketing platform, analytics, customer support tools
      • Shipping and freight carriers and delivery contractors, to complete your delivery
      • Installers and subcontractors, where installation is part of your project
      • Manufacturers and suppliers, for special orders and warranty claims
      • Financing partners, if you apply for financing
      • Advertising and analytics partners — see Section 6
      • Professional advisors, such as attorneys and accountants
      • Authorities, where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights or safety
      • A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics cookies may qualify as “selling” or “sharing” under California law — see Section 8.

5. SMS and Text Messaging

If you provide your mobile number, you may receive transactional texts about your order or appointment. Marketing texts are sent only with your prior express written consent, and consent to marketing texts is never a condition of purchase.

Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for:

      • Strictly necessary functions — cart, checkout, login, security
      • Functional preferences — language, saved settings, wishlist
      • Analytics — understanding how the site is used
      • Advertising — measuring campaigns and showing relevant products and ads

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some will prevent parts of the site from working. You can also opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information using the methods in Section 8.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control Signals

Browsers send Do Not Track signals inconsistently and there is no common industry standard, so we do not currently respond to them.

We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information.

7. Data Retention and Information Security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here and to meet legal, tax, warranty, and recordkeeping obligations. In general:

      • Transaction and tax records: 7 years
      • Warranty and installation records: duration of the warranty plus 2 years
      • Marketing contact data: until you opt out, or after 36 months of inactivity
      • Website analytics data: up to 26 months

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses that meet certain revenue and data-volume thresholds. Whether or not Orion Flooring meets those thresholds in a given year, we extend the rights below to all of our California customers.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides these rights:

      • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share, including categories, sources, purposes, and recipients
      • Right to access a copy of the specific personal information we hold about you
      • Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions
      • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
      • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising
      • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information, where applicable
      • Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a lesser experience because you exercised a privacy right

Notice at Collection

The categories described in Section 1, the purposes in Section 2, and the retention periods in Section 7 together serve as our Notice at Collection. This notice is linked at or before the point where we collect your information.

“Shine the Light”

California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets California residents request information about personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Send requests to the contact in Section 12.

How to Submit a Request

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days, verify your identity by matching information you provide against our records, and respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension where reasonably necessary.

Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written permission and proof of authority.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. Our use of advertising and analytics cookies may qualify as “selling” or “sharing” under California law.

To opt out, you can:

    • Email Sam@orionflooring.com with the subject line Do Not Sell or Share
    • Call us at (714) 936-6549
    • Browse with Global Privacy Control enabled, which we treat as an opt-out request
    • Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our website footer

We will process your request without requiring you to create an account, and opting out will not affect the price you pay or the service you receive.

9. Other State Privacy Rights

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others — may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, along with a right to appeal a denied request. Contact us using Section 12 and we will honor applicable rights.

10. Third-Party Sites

Our site links to third-party services including social media, financing providers, and mapping tools. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date, and where required we will notify you directly. Please review it periodically.
